Who: Large International Cruise Line
Problem: Develop a functional systems specifications and software vendor evaluation process for selecting a new reservations system technology that takes the subjectivity out of the decision making process.
Solution: HDCG developed a systematic and quantifiable approach to identifying the critical business functional system needs related to the long term IT architectural strategy. Utilizing a decision matrix approach to evaluate vendors by analyzing their system's functionality mapped back to the weighted value of the business requirements we were able to provided the client with a clear and concise evaluation that pointed them to a short list of potential vendors.
Result: A large, multi-national consulting firm utilized the recommended course of action produced by our evaluation model in the next phase of a more comprehensive vendor evaluation consulting engagement. HDCG was recruited to assist as Subject Matter Experts (SME) during the next phase of the project.
