Operational Reporting 

Who:  International Investment Bank

Problem:  The senior management team required a tool that would enable them to quickly identify various investment funds compliance with the European Union (EU) investment compliance regulations.  Due to the highly dynamic nature of securities being traded within each fund, it was critical to provide a real time representation of each fund’s status to the EU compliance guidelines at any time during the day.

Solution:  Using a combination of customized SQL Server views and Crystal Reports, HDCG delivered a highly graphical, efficient and accurate web-based reporting tool.  With offices in several different countries, the web delivery of the compliance reports allowed immediate global access to this critical data over a secured corporate intra-net site.

Result:  The delivered solution reduced the cycle time that it took the compliance team to insure that the funds were within the EU compliance guidelines.  Additionally, the introduction of the web-based reporting system lead to additional business intelligence report development that provided the management team with more actionable and informative business decision data.
