Who: Large International Cruise Line

Problem: Develop an automated and high-integrity management reporting system that reduces or eliminates the need for manual intervention.

Solution: Using off the shelf business intelligence tools, HDCG designed, developed and implemented an automated Management Reporting System that eliminated manual keying of data and manipulation of Excel spreadsheets. Leveraging Crystal Reports 8.0 integrated web component, SQL Server 2000, ASP and HTML, we were able to deliver a customized web-based solution at a very low cost of on-going ownership. A catalog of over 25 reports for four (4) brands were developed and implemented over the course of a nine (9) month development period.

Result:  After the initial roll out of the system, the company was able to use one set of common reports to meet all of their management information needs. The manual process of updating Excel spreadsheets was eliminated and the overall integrity of critical decision support information was dramatically improved.
